KALEIDOSCOPE

Did you ever speak or write a word over and over again until it loses it’s original identity and meaning? This project began as such a playful meditation. Sometimes, to expand my inner horizons I fall deeply into repeating, rotating, mirroring and transforming a detail from a photograph with an interesting shape, pattern, contrasting light, color or lines. Just to see what will come of it. As you can see, this form of play has the potential to create a mandala that is quite magical — well beyond my imagination. The name kaleidoscope is apropos as no two results will ever be the same.
