CREATIVE SCANS

The following is a collection of images that I capture on a desktop scanner, beauty gathered from the many places I walk throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. What began as a convenient way to remember a shape or an idea for some future project morphed into its own unique art form that deeply satisfies my curiosity for the unseen. These studies are reminiscent of botanical illustrations of flora and fauna from earlier times in history, when there was a greater fascination with the intimacy and intricate detail found in the natural world.
