Turning it on its head...

We were out with friends on the San Francisco Bay for a celebratory, I'm Glad to be Alive cruise. The night was perfect and rare...warm, crystal clear. And what disappointment to see the annoying blur of my eager attempts to capture the night lights of our beautiful city — not enough light for my unsteady camera under the ship's constant movement. However, I have learned that where there is challenge there is opportunity. So I flipped the situation on its head and began to intentionally play with the slow capture of light. I think you will agree these three photographs reflect a decidedly unique and magical perspective of our grand Bay Bridge! —Gail
